NOMINEES FOR VACANCIES ON STATE WATER COMMISSION
TO BE INTERVIEWED

 

HONOLULU – The Nominating Committee for the State Commission on Water Resource Management will interview applicants for two vacant positions on the Commission on March 14 and 15 starting at noon at the Kalanimoku State Office building at 1151 Punchbowl Street in Room 227. Applicants for both positions must have substantial experience in the area of water resource management. Hawaii Revised Statutes (“HRS”) §174-C-7(b).

In accordance with HRS §174C-7(d), the single task of the Nominating Committee is to review and screen applicants and submit a list of at least three qualified individuals for each position to the Governor. The Governor will then select and nominate one person for each open position, subject to Senate confirmation. The four year term for each vacancy begins July 1, 2013.

The Nominating Committee may hold an executive meeting closed to the public to consider personnel applications.
