WATER SHUTOFF FRIDAY MORNING AT SAND ISLAND
STATE RECREATION AREA FOR REPAIRS

Park will remain open – water service should resume by mid-day

HONOLULU — The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) Division of State Parks will be conducting repairs to the park’s water system from 7:30 a.m. to approximately mid-day near the park’s entrance. Doonwood Engineering will be replacing worn parts of a backflow preventer.

The park will remain open, but park users are notified that there will be no water for showers and restrooms will be closed until repairs are completed by about mid-day.
