CENTRAL MAUI REGIONAL SPORTS COMPLEX
TO START CONSTRUCTION

WAILUKU, Maui –The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) today issued a notice to proceed for construction of the first phase of the Central Maui Regional Sports Complex project. Construction will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 2, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 2015.

The first phase of the project will construct a high school baseball field, two softball fields, a comfort station, a concession stand, parking, landscaping, irrigation well and storage tank. Construction cost for the first phase is approximately $14.8 million. Goodfellow Bros, Inc. is the awarded contractor for this first phase of the project.

Located in the Wailuku-Waikapu region in Central Maui, the complex is designated in the master planned community of Waiale being developed by Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. The entire complex will encompass up to 65 acres of land and will ultimately include a full-size baseball field, four softball fields, four little league baseball fields, an area for soccer fields, comfort stations, concession buildings, and parking for approximately 700 vehicles.
