INFORMATION MEETING PLANNED MAY 7 ON MANOA STREAM
IMPROVEMENTS AT WOODLAWN DRIVE BRIDGE

HONOLULU — The Department of Land and Natural Resources will tentatively begin work in mid-May on a nine-month project in Manoa Stream at, and downstream of the Woodlawn Drive bridge. The purpose of this maintenance improvement project is to help prevent build-up of sediment under, and downstream of the bridge. A community information meeting about the project will take place on Monday, May 7, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. at the Noelani Elementary School cafeteria, 2655 Woodlawn Drive in Manoa.

Contractor Frank Coluccio Construction Co. will repair the grouted riprap apron upstream and downstream of the Woodlawn Drive bridge, do maintenance dredging of the Manoa Stream for approximately 400 linear feet downstream of the Woodlawn Drive bridge, and do tree trimming for stream access during construction.

Present for the meeting will be DLNR’s design consultant R.M. Towill, contractor Frank Coluccio, and DLNR Engineering staff.
