KAWAINUI-HĀMĀKUA MASTER PLAN PROJECT

The Department of Land and Natural Resources, Division of Forestry and Wildlife (DOFAW), in partnership with the Division of State Parks, has prepared a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the Kawainui-Hāmākua Master Plan Project. This DEIS has been published for public review and comments by the State Office of Environmental Quality Control (OEQC) under their December 8^th edition of The Environmental Notice. The legal deadline for written comments received or postmarked during the 45-day comment period for this DEIS is Monday, January 22, 2018. However, DOFAW will accept “Late” written comments under a two week grace period that ends on Tuesday, February 6, 2018.
