KAWAINUI-HĀMĀKUA MASTER PLAN PROJECT

The Department of Land and Natural Resources, Division of Forestry and Wildlife (DOFAW), in partnership with the Division of State Parks, has prepared a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the Kawainui-Hāmākua Master Plan Project. This DEIS has been published for public review and comments by the State Office of Environmental Quality Control (OEQC) under their December 8th edition of The Environmental Notice. You may visit OEQC’s website to obtain more information on this DEIS, and download an electronic copy of this document. The legal deadline for written comments received or postmarked during the 45-day comment period for this DEIS is Monday, January 22, 2018. However, DOFAW will accept “Late” written comments under a two week grace period that ends on Tuesday, February 6, 2018.
