Job Opening: Land Agent IV (SR-22) – Maui

This position is responsible for conducting activities related to the managing of leases, permits and other encumbrances on State land; processing requests to use State land; managing unencumbered State lands; and the performance of other duties related to State lands on the island of MAUI. This position is responsible for performing these duties in a timely manner and in accordance with the applicable laws, rules, policies and procedures as may be established and amended from time to time. Performs other duties as assigned.


This is a civil service position. Further information will be provided during interviews.

The Land Agent IV in State service is fully competent in performing all land acquisition, disposition, inspection and enforcement activities under general supervision; performs the full range of work in the acquisition and disposition of all public lands of the State including complex and difficult assignments; independently conducts studies of all land transactions for preparation of recommendations on requests for use of State lands or for the acquisition of lands for State use. Transactions include leases, easements, fee sales, revocable permits, executive orders, land exchanges, negotiated sales, licenses and acquisition through condemnations and negotiated purchases.
