National Environmental Education Week
April 15 - April 22

National Environmental Education Week is celebrated on the week before Earth Day, and is an opportunity to celebrate and engage with environmental educators. DLNR Forestry & Wildlife believes environmental education is critical to building the awareness, love, and action needed to protect Hawaiʻi’s natural and cultural resources. We have environmental educators across Hawaiʻi who are ready to work with your classroom or community group, and we provide online tools for anyone to learn Hawaiʻi. On our Education pages, you can,
• Request a classroom presentation or field trip
• Take a virtual field trip using 360˚ photos and videos
• Learn about native species and conservation topics
• Watch Hawaiʻi-based nature documentaries and other videos
• Download printable activities like crafts, coloring books and games
• Find teacher guides and place-based curricula
• Teachers can request classroom posters, sticker packs, and more, sent to them for free
• Sign up for our Educator Bulletin, our email list to hear about new ʻāina-based education tools.
