Join Nāpuʻu Natural Resource Management (NNRM) for a volunteer day as we work on clearing and expanding an existing firebreak alongside Pu’uanahulu bluff.

Date: Saturday, May 17, 2025

Time: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

Location: Meet at the Puʻuwaʻawaʻa Forest Reserve at the hikers station (left-hand side parking area right inside of gate)

What: We will be working to widen an existing firebreak along the makai side of the Pu’uanahulu bluff. Gloves and tools will be provided.

Bring:

  • Sturdy hiking boots/shoes (closed-toe) are REQUIRED
  • Long-sleeved shirts and long pants are recommended
  • Snacks and a lunch
  • Plenty of water: a water cooler will be available for refills.
  • Sun protection: Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses
  • Rain gear

**Terrain is uneven and rocky. Weather can be hot and sunny or cold and rainy.**
