Acceptance of Final Environmental Impact Statement for proposed Kawainui-Hāmākua Master Plan project

The State of Hawai‘i, Department of Land and Natural Resources, Division of Forestry and Wildlife (Proposing Agency) is pleased to notify the public that the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the proposed Kawainui-Hāmākua Master Plan project has been Accepted by the Governor of the State of Hawai‘i.

The FEIS was prepared in accordance with Chapter 343, Hawai‘i Revised Statutes and Chapter 11-200, Hawai‘i Administrative Rules pertaining to “Environmental Impact Statements.” The FEIS documents the technical characteristics and likely environmental impacts from the Proposed Action, and advances findings and conclusions relative to the significance of the action.
