Your search found 1225 hits- 08/04/22 – STATE LAW ENFORCEMENT AT KAIMANA BEACH WELCOMED BY MONK SEAL VOLUNTEERS(HONOLULU) – At dawn, about the only people at Kaimana Beach were folks from Hawai‘i Marine Animal Response (HMAR) and a couple of television crews. HMAR is the organization that mobilizes volunteers to watch over resting monk seals.
- 03/08/22-DROUGHT CONDITIONS DESCEND ON HAWAI‘I DURING WHAT IS TYPICALLY THE RAINY SEASON(HONOLULU) – Most of Hawai‘i is beginning to experience drought conditions, during the time of year when rain is normally plentiful and regular. The State Commission of Water Resource Management (CWRM) is advising people to take immediate actions to reduce water use in Maui County especially, describing current drought conditions as historic.
- 12/04/13 – DLNR ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS BY DECEMBER 31 FOR AMERICAN FORESTS’ NATIONAL REGISTER OF BIG TREES Fall 2013 Register Includes 10 Champions Crowned in HawaiiThe Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) is accepting nominations by December 31, 2013 for the 2014 National Register of Big Trees. Across the United States, the largest trees of their species joined the ranks of the more than 780 national champion trees listed in American Forests’ National Register of Big Trees. More than 40 new champions were crowned across 50 states and the District of Columbia, including 6 new champions in Hawaii.

- 10/10/23-THREE DLNR DIVISIONS SET TO IMPLEMENT CIVIL RESOURCE VIOLATION SYSTEM (HONOLULU) – A trio of divisions under the Dept. of Land and Natural Resources are set to begin a three-month-long pilot project which allows state conservation enforcement resource officers to issue tickets and/or fines on the spot for violations of rules.
