State Parks\, the Hawai’i Softball Foundation and several other non-profit organizations will come together to plant native trees\, remove rubbish and comb sand for kiawe thorns at Sand Island State Recreation Area. DESCRIPTION:The DLNR Division of State Parks and the Division of Aquatic Resources is hosting a Pono Fishing Clinic on October 29th from 9am to 12pm at Sand Island State Recreation Area. Limited space available\, registration is required. Sign-up today to save a spot for your ʻohana!  \nRegister for the Pono Fishing Clinic \n \nLearn what it means to fish pono and get set up for success on your next fishing trip!   \nOur Pono Fishing Clinic is a unique opportunity for families new to fishing to learn some of the key skills and information to get started fishing locally. During the clinic we will cover topics like safety\, responsibilities of fishers\, basic rules and regulations. We will also have casting and bait prep instruction.
