Food Eats crustaceans, squid, fishes (including rays)
Habitat Pelagic waters and at deep bottom areas, from near the surface to depths of over 2,500 ft
Reproduction Aplacental vivipary, presumed uterine cannibal; litter size uncertain; size at maturity 9 ft for males, females uncertain
