Bureau of Conveyances

The following bills passed during FY14 legislation and have an effect on the BOC’s operations.

• HB1579 Relating to Judgment Liens (Act19) – Clarifies that money judgments are considered valid liens against all real property, including registered property, when recorded in the Bureau of Conveyances.
• SB2233 Relating to Bureau of Conveyances (Act 47) – Extends the sunset date of Act 119, Session Laws of Hawaii 2013, relating to the deregistration of fee non-time share interests.  Clarifies the actions taken after a certificate of title for a fee time share interest is deregistered and marked canceled by the Assistant Registrar.
