[O’AHU] UPDATE 3/30/26

Kaʻena Point State Park, Mākua-Keawaʻula Section: CLOSED due to flooding and collapsed road on Farrington Highway.

Kaʻena Point State Park, Mokulēʻia Section: CLOSED due to saturated and eroded roads.

Ahupuaʻa O Kahana State Park and Camping REOPEN this weekend.

[MAU’I] UPDATE 3/30/26

Waiʻānapanapa State Park : Currently CLOSED to parking, park entry, tent camping, camper van camping and all cabin reservations, anticipated REOPEN on March 31st.

Polipoli Spring State Recreation Area: Polipoli cabins and camping areas are CLOSED until further notice.

Iao Valley State Monument: Currently CLOSED until further notice. Parking and entry CLOSED until April 26.

Kaumahina State Wayside CLOSED.

Akaka Falls State Park: Water and comfort station CLOSED, park open with portable toilets.

Kiholo State Park Reserve: Road CLOSED to vehicles due to erosion until further notice, pedestrian access remains opened. Camping remains CLOSED.

Lapakahi State Historical Park: CLOSED until further notice due to unsafe trails and water bars.

Polihale State Park and camping is CLOSED until further notice due to mud and debris removal.

Day at Lake Wilson – Saturday November 2, 2019

On Saturday, November 2,2019  The DLNR – Division of State Parks is hosting “Day at Lake Wilson”  in Wahiawa. Please see the fliers below or visit https://lakewilsonday.com for more information.

The Wahiawā Freshwater State Recreation Area has been a fixture in the community for years featuring Lake Wilson as one of its prime features. This Saturday, the DLNR Division of State Parks is sponsoring a community event in partnership with the Wahiawā Community Based Development Organization entitled “A Day at Lake Wilson”.

This event will highlight recent State Park improvements and showcase the recreational opportunities and unique aspects offered in Wahiawā.  “A Day at Lake Wilson” will be held on November 2nd at 380 Walker Avenue in Wahiawā from 8:00am to 3:00pm.  

The Wahiawā Public Fishing Area (Lake Wilson), is one of the few areas that provides a multitude of outdoor activities ranging from freshwater sportfishing to hiking and picnic opportunities. DLNR educational booths from several divisions as well as vendors who will be selling their specialty goods and food at the park.  

To help better facilitate this event the boat ramp will be closed to anglers that day.
