‘Iao Valley State Monument: Currently CLOSED until further notice. Parking and entry CLOSED until June 28, 2026.

Polipoli Spring State Recreation Area: Polipoli cabins and camping areas are CLOSED until further notice.

[KAUA’I] UPDATED 4/14/26

The Kalalau trail has REOPENED and the Haʻena Shuttle has RESUMED.

Koke’e State Park camping will be CLOSED for campground improvements. Construction to begin May 2026 and extend through Spring 2027.

Polihale State Park and camping is CLOSED until further notice due to mud and debris removal.

—

Pāʻulaʻula State Historic Site: CLOSED for construction.

O’ahu state parks have REOPENED with the exception of Ka’ena Point State Park, both Mokule’ia and Mākua-Keawa’ula sections, and Pu’u o Mahuka Heiau State Historic Site.

Notice to Bidders – Mobile Food Truck Concessions (Island of Hawaiʻi)

Please be advised that the Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR), Division of State Parks, has opened Notice to Bidders (Invitation for Bids) on Thursday, April 9, 2026, for Mobile Food Truck Concessions on the island of Hawaiʻi.

This solicitation will include opportunities at the following park locations:

  • Kekaha Kai State Park
  • Wailuku River State Park
  • Wailoa River State Park
  • Hāpuna Beach State Recreation Area
  • ʻAkaka Falls State Park

Key upcoming dates (subject to the official IFB posting):

  • Notice of Intention to Bid due: May 22, 2026
  • Qualifications Questionnaire due: June 12, 2026
  • Sealed Bids due: July 1, 2026 (4:00 PM HST)
  • Bid Opening: July 2, 2026 (9:00 AM HST)
