[KAUAʻI] UPDATED 5/17/24 – Na Pali Coast State Wilderness Park and Haʻena State Park: Kauaʻi North shore shuttle departures has CLOSED due to inclement weather.

[O’AHU] UPDATED 5/16/24 – Ka’ena Point State Park, Mokuleʻia Section: Vehicle access road has CLOSED due to saturated roads and inclement weather.

[O’AHU] UPDATED 5/16/24 – Diamond Head State Monument: The park will remain CLOSED through at least Friday, May 17, due to inclement weather and rock falls.

[HAWAIʻI] UPDATED 5/15/24 – Hapuna State Park: Hapuna and the Waialea Section beach and access road has REOPENED following flood cleanup.

[KAUAʻI] UPDATED 3/18/24 – Kōkeʻe State Park: The gate to Puʻu O Kila Lookout will be closed to vehicular traffic due to road repairs beginning 3/19/24. The lookout will still be accessible by pedestrians, parking is available at Kalalau lookout.

Wailoa River State Recreation Area

UPDATE: 4/5/24 – WAILOA RIVER BOAT RAMP AND DOCKS CLOSING FOR REPAIRS IN MAY

The Wailoa River SRA boat ramp and dock will be temporarily closed for dock replacement work. The scheduled dates for this project run from May 6 through May 20, 2024 with working hours from 8 am to 5 pm. Dates and times are subject to change.

General scope of work:
1. Removal and disposal of existing north and south docks
2. Installation of a new pre-fabricated combination fixed and floating dock system to the north side of the launching ramp
3. Install a safety stop at the edge of the walkway of the former south dock. The south dock will not be replaced.

Description

Pleasure walking, quiet relaxation, informal games and events, picnicking, and boat fishing are provided for in this landscaped park set around Wailoa River. Boat ramp provided. Fishing restrictions. Information services and cultural displays at Wailoa Center which is accessible through Piopio street. (131.9 acres)

Wailoa Center

Wailoa Center, located within Wailoa River SRA, contains two galleries which host month-long art and cultural exhibits. They are free and open to the public. For more information and a schedule of exhibits, please visit www.wailoacenter.com.

Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm.

Closed on weekends and state holidays.
