Who Is Mauna Kea Forest Restoration Project (MKFRP)?

The Mauna Kea Forest Restoration Project (MKFRP) is a collaborative project of the Division of Forestry and Wildlife (DOFAW) and the Pacific Cooperative Studies Unit (PCSU). MKFRP focuses on the restoration of Maunakea’s unique dry forest and the removal of invasive species. These efforts also aid in the preservation of critical habitat for our native manu (birds), including the critically endangered palila.
