Posted on Nov 9, 2018 in News & Events

Please join us at the Mokupāpapa Discovery Center, on November 15th, at 5:30 pm for the free lecture as part of the Third Thursday by the Bay Lecture Series. Rachel Kingsley, education and outreach associate for The ‘Alalā Project, will present an update on the most recent reintroduction efforts to establish a wild population of ‘Alalā, the endemic and endangered Hawaiian crow. This update will include information on the status of the birds released in both 2017 and 2018, and the plan for future reintroductions. We will have ʻAlalā Project merchandise available for purchase by donation. Please join us to learn more about the recovery of the ‘Alalā, a highly intelligent and unique crow species, integral to the native Hawaiian ecosystems and culture.
