We are excited to announce the dates for the Keauhou Bird Conservation Center Open House! This is your opportunity to see the work being done with some of the endangered, endemic birds in the islands including the ʻAlalā. This event will be held on January 12 & January 13, 2019. Tour start times will be at 8:00 am, 10:00 am, 12:00 pm, and 2:00 pm. This facility is located just outside of Volcano village on Hawaiʻi Island. Tours will last about 2 hours including drive time to and from the facility itself. Reservations are required and space is limited. We are trying out an online registration form this year to streamline the process of signing individuals up. We are asking for those wishing to visit to keep their group size to 5 people or under to help accommodate more individuals being able to participate. Once spaces are filled we will gather information for a waiting list. If you have questions or would like to be placed on the waiting list please email [email protected] or call (808)348-7898. Confirmation emails will be sent including detailed information about the event.
