Instream Flow Standard: Hydrologic Unit of Wailua (2040)
The Commission on Water Resource Management is preparing to amend the interim instream flow standards for certain streams within the surface water hydrologic unit of Wailua, in Southeast Kaua‘i. A Draft Instream Flow Standard Assessment Report (IFSAR) has been prepared to provide best available information from which the Commission staff can develop instream flow standard recommendations. The Draft IFSAR is available below. Comments and supplementary information is being accepted by the Commission.
The diversion on Waialeale Stream (West Branch of the North Fork of the Wailua River) is maintained by the Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative for hydroelectric power generation. | |
