Violations are subject to fines ranging from $100 to $10,000, and jail sentences of up to one year.
Informer’s fee
One half of the fine imposed and collected in cases where the defendant has been convicted for a violation may be paid to the person giving the information leading to the arrest of the person so convicted. HRS 187A-14
