DLNR HOLDS HEARING ON WAILUKU-KAHULUI WASTEWATER
RECLAMATION FACILITY SHORELINE PROTECTION EXTENSION
KAHULUI — The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR), State of Hawai‘i, pursuant to Chapter 183C, Hawai‘i Revised Statutes (HRS), will hold a public hearing in Kahului, Maui on:
Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 6:00 pm
Lihikai Elementary School Cafeteria at 335 S. Papa Avenue
to receive testimony on Conservation District Use Application (CDUA) MA-3688 for the Wailuku-Kahului Wastewater Reclamation Facility Shoreline Protection Extension partially located on submerged land offshore of and upon TMK: (2) 3-8-001:188.
A copy of the CDUA is available for inspection at the Office of Conservation and Coastal Lands, located at the Kalanimoku Building Room 131, 1151 Punchbowl Street in Honolulu, at the Kahului State Library and at the DLNR-Maui District Land Office (54 High St., Room 101).
The final Environmental Impact Statement was published in the Office of Environmental Quality Control’s Environmental Notice on May 8, 2013 and may be viewed on OEQC’s website EA and EIS online library.
Any person may testify or present information on the application. Disabled individuals planning to attend the hearing are asked to contact Tiger Mills of the DLNR’s Office of Conservation and Coastal Lands at (808) 587-0377 at least five days in advance of the public hearing to indicate if they have special needs which require accommodation.
