Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation

Effective Monday, May 15, 2023, and until further notice, the DOBOR Hilo Office at 75 Aupuni Street will be staffed on a limited basis: Mondays and Fridays only, 7:45am to 4:00pm.  On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, the DOBOR Hilo Office will be closed and will not be staffed.  On these days, customers may contact the Hawaii District Office at (808) 327-3690 for assistance.

For matters requiring a more immediate response, customers may submit documents in-person to the Hawaii District Office at 74-380 Kealakehe Parkway, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740.  The Hawaii District Office and Honokohau Small Boat Harbor Office is closed to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  In-person transactions are processed only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
