MAUNALUA BAY RAMP LOADING DOCK CLOSED

(Honolulu) – The DLNR Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation (DOBOR) has closed the public loading dock at the Maunalua Bay boat ramp in east O‘ahu.

Engineers are condemning the dock due to structural failure. They report the concrete pier structure could collapse into the water. This creates an unsafe condition for people. Barriers and signs are being erected and bay users are asked to heed them.

The ramp will remain open to boaters, but they are not permitted to tie up to the dock when they launch.
