KALALAU TRAIL REOPENS
LIHUE — The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) reopened the Kalalau Trail today at 10 a.m. to hikers and campers. The trail was closed on Monday due to forecasts of thunderstorms and flash flood warning on Kauai.
A brown water advisory has being issued for the east-north east areas of the island of Kauai, including Hā’ena and Kē’ē Beach. As a health precaution, the public is advised to stay out of flood waters and storm water. If coastal waters are turbid and brown, stay out.
