- 06/16/22 – WAIKĪKĪ BEACH MAINTENANCE PROJECT RECIEVES NATIONAL AWARD FOR BEST RESTORED BEACH(WAIKĪKĪ) – The Waikīkī Beach Maintenance Project, completed a little more than a year ago, is one of four beach restoration projects honored by the American Shore and Beach Preservation Association (ASBPA).
- 06/16/22 – NEARLY $15 MILLION TO PROTECT THE WAIAWA WATERSHED AWARDED TO STATE OF HAWAI’I IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE U.S. NAVY(HONOLULU) – State of Hawai‘i, in partnership with Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam (JBPHH), met the challenge and is receiving $14,881,880 from the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Readiness and Environmental Integration Program (REPI), to help safeguard Oahu’s drinking water supplies.
- 06/15/22 – ENTIRE LAHAINA AQUIFER SECTOR AREA DESIGNATED AS SURFACE WATER & GROUND WATER MANAGEMENT AREA(HONOLULU) – The Lahaina Aquifer Sector Area provides water for everyone in west Maui, from Ukumehame in the south to Honokōhau in the north, comprising six ground water hydrologic units and eleven surface water hydrologic units.

- 06/08/22 – ON WORLD OCEANS DAY GOVERNOR IGE ANNOUNCES SUPPORT FOR EXPANSION OF PACIFIC REMOTE ISLANDS MARINE NATIONAL MONUMENT(HONOLULU) – The proposed expansion of the Pacific Remote Islands Marine National Monument would make it the largest Marine Protected Area (MPA) in the world.
