1/24/23 – Legislative event showcases DAR projects
DAR staff participated in today’s Mālama Hawai‘i Mauka to Makai event at the state capitol auditorium. The event was an educational showcase of conservation programs featuring DLNR and partners, and was hosted by House Speaker Scott Saiki. Legislators had the opportunity to talk with DAR staff about various projects such as coral reef restoration and invasive species management, including sea urchin biocontrol of invasive algae.
