DOBOR BILLING AND LATE-FEE NOTICE

Posted on Apr 5, 2021 in Main

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ALL DOBOR CLIENTS

DOBOR will be implementing late charges on all accounts (previously announced in August of 2020) beginning May 1, 2021.  The most significant change is that all outstanding charges are now due on the first of the month and an account will become delinquent four days after charges become due and payable.  Previously, one month would lapse before charges on an account became due and payable.

In addition, the amount of the late fee on delinquent accounts and how the late fee is applied has changed significantly.  Previously, the late fee was $25.00 plus 1% interest.  As of May 1, DOBOR will assess 1% of the outstanding balance plus 5% or $100.00, whichever is greater.

These procedural changes are being made in compliance with Hawaii Administrative Rule (HAR) §13-234-2.

DOBOR offers online payments through its website at https://dlnr.hawaii.gov/dobor/online-services/.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding your account, please contact your respective harbor or district office.

Notice of these changes were sent out 4/1/21 along with customer statements.
