South Kawaihae Small Boat Harbor improvement construction work will begin Monday, November 21, 2022.  This phase of improvements will include grading, paving, and installation of additional lighting.  Boat launch ramps will remain open during construction.

The contractor will start grading work in the unpaved gravel area around the comfort station then proceed to the main trailer parking area.  These areas will be blocked off for the duration of construction work.  Estimated completion by April 30, 2023.  Harbor users are asked to utilize alternative parking areas that are available North of the comfort station.
