In some of the matters before the Board, a person may wish to request a contested case hearing.  If such a request is made before the Board’s decision, then the Board will consider the request first – before considering the merits of the item before it.  A person who wants a contested case may also wait until the Board decides the issue, then request the contested case after the decision.  It is up to you.  Any request must be made orally by the end of the meeting and followed up in writing within ten days.  If no request for contested case is made, the Board will make a decision.  The Department will treat the decision as final and proceed accordingly.

    The amendment is to delete that portion of the Board’s prior approval that would have authorized the conveyance of the leasehold commercial improvements to the successful bidder at auction for the duration of the lease term.  Instead, staff recommends the Board approve a lease of the improved property and make other technical amendments of its prior action.

    The purpose of the April 26, 2019, amendment was to correct the company name from “Makani Charters, Inc.” to Makani Kai Charters, Inc., and the area from 200 sq. ft. to 449 sq. ft., with Rent from $100.00 to $224.50.
     
     
    The purpose of this amendment is to Revise the Revocable Permit area from 449 sq. ft. to 200 sq. ft. and the Rent from $224.50 to $100.00.
