WAIANAE –The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) along with Townscape, Inc., an environmental planning company, invites Makaha Valley community members to attend and provide feedback at public meeting that will share the latest information from a flood study of Makaha Valley.

HONOLULU --- The Commission on Water Resource Management has postponed the Na Wai Eha contested case hearing on Instream Flow Standards until further notice to allow the parties to meet and discuss potential avenues of settlement. Therefore, the hearings scheduled on Maui for this and next week, have been cancelled.

WAILUKU – The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) will close the Mala boat launch ramp to public use for two months, starting Monday, March 17, to demolish and replace two existing concrete loading docks and make repairs to portions of the boat ramp. The project will cost approximately $1.1 million. The ramp is scheduled to be closed for 60 days, until May 16, 2014. Public meetings with boaters have been conducted which set this date for start of the repair project.

KAHULUI – The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) Division of Forestry and Wildlife will close the Kula Forest Reserve and Waipoli Access Road from Monday, March 17, 2014, through Wednesday, April 30, 2014, to allow needed road repairs to be made to both the unpaved and paved sections of the road.

HONOLULU --- The Commission on Water Resource Management (Water Commission) announced today that, for logistical reasons and with the agreement of the parties, the Na Wai Eha contested case hearing on Maui has been postponed from Tuesday March 11, until Monday, March 17, 2014.
