HONOLULU – The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) and several of its divisions responded to reports of at least six vessels adrift or grounded, as a result of a short, but severe winter storm on Jan. 2 and 3.

LIHUE, KAUAI –To facilitate planned paving and repair work, the Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation (DOBOR) will close the trailer parking area and boat launch ramp at Port Allen Small Boat Harbor from 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, to 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26.

KAILUA-KONA, HAWAII –The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) on Wednesday, Sept. 3, will begin construction at Keauhou Small Boat Harbor on repairs to the last remaining areas damaged by the 2011 Japan tsunami.

HONOLULU – The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) is hosting a public forum to generate discussion about a management concept designed to reduce user conflicts in specific surf breaks in the waters off of Oahu.

HONOLULU -- Beginning on July 10, 2014, the Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) will be replacing the buoys in the lagoon of Ala Moana Beach Park that demark the stand-up paddleboard corridor. A small team of DLNR employees will be staging on the beach at Magic Island and using a jet ski during the operation. The department asks for the public to cooperate and stay clear of the installation crew while work is in progress.

LAHAINA, MAUI – The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) will hold a public information on Wednesday, July 2, on the final environmental impact statement for the proposed Lahaina Small Boat Harbor ferry pier improvements.

KAILUA-KONA, HI – The Department of Land and Natural Resources will begin two repair projects addressing tsunami damage at its West Hawaii boating facilities, starting May 27 at Kailua-Kona Pier and June 9 at Keauhou Small Boat Harbor. Both projects are expected to be completed by the end of 2014.
