(WAIKĪKĪ, O‘AHU) – Mother monk seal, Kaiwi, and her pup spent an hour and forty minutes in the water off Kaimana Beach this morning. This is the third day, since the pup’s birth, the pair have taken to the ocean.

(HILO, HAWAI'I ISLAND) – A nēnē family was reunited and relocated last week after an illegal capture and removal of its gosling from Wailoa River State Recreation Area in Hilo.

(HONOLULU) – 65-year-old David Jiménez of Maui was cited this morning at Kealakekua Bay on Hawai‘i Island, after the DLNR Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement (DOCARE) received numerous calls reporting alleged wildlife harassment. Jiménez was allegedly actively pursuing an adolescent humpback whale and dolphins inside Kealakekua Bay State Historical Park.
