With continued support from the Hawaii State Legislature, the HISC invites proposals for interagency projects that address critical issues in invasive species prevention, control, outreach, and research in Hawaii.
The FY20 Call for Proposals, eligibility guidelines, and online application form for interagency funding from the Hawaii Invasive Species Council are now available at: https://hiscfunding.formstack.com/forms/fy20
HISC funds are provided to the Council by the Legislature to support interagency collaborations that:
- fill gaps between agency mandates and existing programs, or
- advance our collective knowledge and tools through research and innovations.
Similar to previous years, this year’s Call for Proposals is focused on 10 priority areas based on the Hawaii Interagency Biosecurity Plan. Proposed projects will need to demonstrate their relationship to priorities of the Biosecurity Plan. The Call for Proposals includes suggested project examples related to these priorities, though applicants may propose any project for potential funding.
Applications must be completed online and submitted by 5pm on June 21. If you have any questions, please contact Randy Bartlett at [email protected].
