Brown Bag #27: the Hawaii Alien Plant Informatics (HAPI) Project

Posted on Oct 2, 2019 in brownbag, News, slider

Information about invasive plants in Hawaii is spread across multiple databases and isn’t available in a format that allows resource managers to make decisions easily. Enter the HAPI project: UH graduate student Kelsey Brock is building a Hawaii Alien Plant Informatics system to connect various data about invasive plants and present it in an easy-to-use online portal.

This presentation is part of the HISC Brown Bag series, a set of informal talks by invasive species experts and stakeholders in Hawaii. For more brown bag presentations, visit https://dlnr.hawaii.gov/hisc/category/brownbag
