The Kahakapao Access Road (the Makawao Forest Reserve Access Road) will be closed May 2^nd to June 28, 2024 for infrastructure improvements.  A drainage feature will be installed along the corridor to prevent recurring costs and closures after major storm events that typically close the road for debris clean-up and repairs.  This preventative feature will collect, channel and divert storm runoff away from the road during future storms.  Mahalo for your patience
