I understand that the type of field trip or service project is dependent on project needs at each site. Work may include non-native plant control by hand, trowel or hand saw, the use of herbicide applicators and sprayers, or other methods. Service may include out-plantings, transplantings of native species, or assistance with trail, fence or water-catchment maintenance or construction. Terrain may be uneven, muddy, or in water. Weather may be humid, hot, or rainy. Trip will be cancelled due to imminent weather. Some sites may not have running water or restroom facilities, and may be remote with little to no cellular service. Any concerns with the above methods or provisos should be discussed with the Forestry & Wildlife staff member assisting with trip planning prior to confirming a service trip.

I understand that, for both field trips and service learning trips, participants must complete the DLNR volunteer liability waiver titled "Agreement for Individual Voluntary Service for Conservation Projects" (even if my group is planning a field trip without a specific service activity). I also understand that participants must complete Media Release Waivers prior to the trip.
