Meeting Location: New gravel parking lot at the top of the paved driveway, through the unlocked cattle gate.

Parking: Park in the new gravel lot at the top of the paved driveway. There is a chained cattle gate, unlocked, at the turnoff from the highway to the sanctuary driveway. Go through this gate and to the top of the paved driveway to the gravel lot. If there is not parking available at the gravel lot, you may have to park on the shoulder along Kohala Mountain Road.

What to Expect:

Planting ʻaʻaliʻi and koaiʻa in soft dirt. This will involve use of hand tools such as picks to dig and plant the seedlings.

Trail improvements:

• Removing vegetation along new, proposed trail routes (use of loppers and/or sickles)
• Starting construction of new trail reroutes (use of pulaskis, pick mattock, McLeods, shovels, etc.)

Gloves and tools will be provided.
