Pouhala Workday

March 11 @ 8:30 am - 11:30 am

Pouhala Marsh – Volunteer Workday

We will be clearing some weeds near the stream and creating an area for better bird viewing.  We will see how many wetland birds we can find!

Let’s work together to care for one of our wildlife sanctuaries.

Meet Time: 8:00 am, meet near the end of Waipahu Depot Road, across from the Police Academy.   We will be working until 11:00 am doing activities that may include caring for a Hala grove, picking up rubbish, and weeding. We will also do a little walk around and bird watch!

Wear/Bring: Water, sturdy shoes, sun protection, repellent, and water. Work pants and long sleeves recommended for invasive species removal.

Parking: We will park inside the gate.

Notice: All ages welcome. Participants under 16 years of age must have a parent or guardian attend for the duration of the activity.  We will provide multiple activity options for you based on age, physical ability, and interest.
