Area closures following storm damage

Due to heavy rainfall and wind activity, some areas managed by DLNR Forestry & Wildlife are closed. Crews are currently assessing many of our managed areas and the list of closures below may change. Areas will be opened as conditions allow. Contact your local Forestry & Wildlife office for up-to-date information. Please also contact us to alert us to damage or hazards that you observe.

Oʻahu:

  • Mokulēʻia Access Road. Area reserves remain open via Keālia Trail for foot and bicycle traffic only.
  • Though unrelated to storm damage, the Satellite Tracking Access Road in Keawaʻula is also closed due to security concerns by the US Space Force. See this post for updates.

Kauaʻi:

  • Mana wetlands access point

Maui:

  • Kula Forest Reserve
  • Lahaina Pali Trail upper parking lot
  • Waihou Spring Trail

Molokaʻi:

  • Maunahui Access Road to Molokaʻi Forest Reserve
