LĀNAʻI MOUFLON HUNT CANCELLED DUE TO IMPENDING ARRIVAL OF HURRICANE
(Honolulu) – In advance of Tropical Cyclone Lane, The Hawai‘i Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR), Division of Forestry and Wildlife has cancelled the Lānaʻi mouflon hunt scheduled for August 25-26, 2018.
The Lānaʻi Cooperative Game Management Area is closed until further notice. Hunters holding permits for the state mouflon hunt on Lānaʻi for this weekend will be notified of opportunities to reschedule their hunts and are advised to monitor announcements on the state’s hunting web page at https://dlnr.hawaii.gov/recreation/hunting/.
Additional closures may be announced depending on the storm’s track over specific islands and this release will be updated accordingly over the next few days.
