Volunteer in November! Kawainui Marsh Workdays

Posted on Oct 21, 2021

We have two upcoming volunteer workdays in November! Come help us create waterbird habitat by removing invasive weeds on November 6th. Or join us the next Saturday, November 13th to help plant native sedges near an archeological site.

Saturday November 6th:

We will be pulling weeds using hands/tools to create habitat for endangered waterbirds in the same area we have been working for the past few months.

If you are interested in coming out to help mālama Kawainui, please RSVP here: https://dlnr.ivolunteer.com/kawainui_062

Saturday November 13th:

We will be planting native sedges to delineate an archaeological site (kuleana wall) in our wetland restoration area.

IMPORTANT: Note that this work day has a different meeting site, so please read the directions in the registration link carefully and as always feel free to call/text/email Lindsey (808-223-6139 [email protected]) if you have questions.
