Your search found 2556 hits- Land Board Authorizes Archaeological and Environmental Reviews Of Areas Covered By Proposed Land Exchange On MauiKAHULUI -- The Board of Land and Natural Resources (BLNR) today authorized the Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) to seek bids to conduct an archaeological inventory survey (AIS) and environmental review (EA) necessary to explore a proposed land exchange agreement between the state and Haleakala Ranch that that the department believes will ensure public access to a disputed hiking trail, and create a new access route to two large forest reserves on the leeward slope of Haleakala.

- Kauai Albatross Need Your Help! Please help identify the owner of dogs in the photoLIHUE -- The Department of Land and Natural Resources is asking for the public‘s help in identifying the owner(s) of two dogs recently seen attacking ground-nesting Laysan albatrosses in Moloa’a, Kauai. They were photographed and the image is posted on fliers that are being distributed in the community, starting Friday. Since December, a string of albatross killings has been reported at two coastal properties on the northeast shores of Kauai. A total of 17 birds were found mauled to death at Moloaa by dogs this season.

- Permits Now Available For Animal Control In Napali Coast State Park On Kaua‘iLIHU‘E – The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) has announced the opening of a feral goat and feral pig control hunt opportunity in the Napali Coast State Wilderness Park, Hunting Unit G. The areas open to animal control will be between the Ho‘olulu valley (4 miles) and Kalalau valley (11 miles) portions of Hunting Unit G, including Hono o Napali Natural Area Reserve. The animal control is necessary for watershed protection purposes, pursuant to Title 13, Chapter 123 (13-123-9).
