Your search found 1232 hits- 08/31/23-TLC FOR LĀHAINĀ’S HISTORIC FAMED BANYAN TREE (LĀHAINĀ, HAWAI‘I) –To the untrained eye, the 150-year-old Banyan Tree in Lāhainā isn’t showing any signs of life. Thousands of leaves on the mammoth tree are scorched but its multiple trunks show little sign of being singed during the August 8 firestorm that devastated this historic, coastal West Maui community.

- 02/14/22-NEW SUNBLOCK DISPENSERS URGE SOUTH MAUI OCEAN-GOERS TO “LOVE THE OCEAN THE RIGHT WAY” ON VALENTINE’S DAY(KIHEI) - Four mineral sunblock dispensers are up on this Valentine’s Day on south Maui shores, encouraging all to “love the ocean the right way.” Two are at the ‘Āhihi-Kīna‘u Natural Area Reserve and a pair are to be installed at Mākena State Park. Thousands of people enter the ocean at these locations every day.

An officer with the DLNR Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement (DOCARE), estimates one wave off Diamond Head this morning, topped 25-feet in height.

- 06/16/20-DLNR ANNOUNCES 2020 BLACK-TAILED DEER SEASON ON KAUA‘I(Līhuʻe) – Deer hunters can now apply to hunt as the DLNR Division of Forestry and Wildlife (DOFAW) announce the opening of the black-tailed deer hunting season on the island of Kaua‘i. Rules and conditions regulating game mammal hunting in Title 13, Chapter 123 will be in effect.
