ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS
Community Forest Festival
Sunday, November 16, 2025 11 AM – 3 PM at Foster Botanical Garden
Please join us for a Community Forest Festival! This event will bring tree lovers from across Hawaiʻi to engage with community forests. An interactive musical collaboration between Kaulunani Artists in Residence will headline this event. Bring your picnic lunch, and your family and friends, to appreciate all our community forests provide and activate care for our collective well-being.
The Kaulunani Urban and Community Forestry Program (State of Hawaiʻi DLNR-DOFAW) and the Honolulu Botanical Gardens and Division of Urban Forestry (City and County of Honolulu) are teaming up to host this event and celebrate a successful 2025 Year of Our Community Forests campaign. ʻAha Kumulāʻau – Community Forestry Partners Gathering
Held Friday, September 20th, 2024 at the University of Hawaiʻi at West Oʻahu
Kaulunani recognizes how much our partners learn from each other and how they are experts of their places and practices. With this value in mind, we sought to provide a meaningful, in-person opportunity to lift up our growing network of partner organizations to 1) strengthen pilina among people and between people and trees and 2) celebrate trees and the people and programs that support trees.
